Pancreas Problems and Diet
For pancreas health and problems it is recommended to eat a low fat diet and get plenty of vitamins A,
D, E, K, maybe through a multivitamin. Eating raw vegetables such as carrots, broccoli, cauliflower and others that have plenty of nutrients and enzymes are also good for the pancreas because it helps break down enzymes but these foods naturally contain enzymes. Some people have also had success with enzyme supplements but they should be used in combination with regular diet and exercise. Avoiding smoking and heavy drink is also a good idea for good pancreas health. Natural herbs such as galega and bilberry promote pancreatic health and healthy blood sugar levels. Vitamin B and Nitric Oxide are also important for pancreas health as well as folic acid. These vitamins help the pancreas stay in good health so it can keep performing of its vital functions to keep us healthy on a daily basis. Eating more grains, fruits, vegetables and even fish instead of high fatty foods such as beef can also help pancreas health, especially for people with diabetes. Cutting down on sugar and also adding more protein to your breakfast and less carbohydrates can also be good for a healthy pancreas.
The pancreas performs many vital functions that we need to stay active and healthy and to enjoy our lives. It is important that we understand about pancreas health and how serious a pancreas problem can be. If diet changes and lifestyle changes do not help consulting a doctor for a better diagnosis of a specific pancreas problem may be needed. That way we can continue to enjoy life while our pancreas works hard to keep us healthy.
